crotch lake fishing and camping!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hey Zorty....if it is your first time to the lake, let me know and I can refer you to a few sites. Some are more boat friendly than others.

Fishing was tough this last weekend, water was close to 2 feet higher than normal.

Downrigger,

Are you talking about 2 ft. higher than mid-summer conditions or two feet higher for this time of yr.? Has that area experienced that much rainfall recently. Here inCentral PA, we are in the midst of an early season drought. Very, very little rainfall the past mo. Lawns are brown and streams and rivers are below late Aug. levels.

I will be arriving at Crotch L. on July 9th and sure hope that the lake drops a lot before then. I always find the walleye fishing to be very tough with high water levels.

Bulldog,

The water was higher than normal for this time of year....based on previous trips anyway. I noticed the water level started to drop when I was leaving. There was a fair amount of lumber floating around the south part of the lake Sunday morning. You should be fine!

Have a good trip!
