I always seem to go to my confident bait for early season (senko). I really want to make an effort to try different techniques this year, what are some patterns or techniques you might suggest and why.

Senko is just too easy not to throw, i completely understand! Im going to be trying alot more moving baits this season. Mainly crankbaits and swim jigs. Try something that looks fun to you, everybody is different! Goodluck

Depends where you fish but I throw many different techniques anytime I'm out. A senko is always tied onto something but I also like walk the dog baits, smaller frogs, spinnerbaits and cranks. I also pitch A LOT!

I like trying something new each year. Whether or not I stick with it usually depends on how to w well I do with it on opener.
