My dad said we could go down to the Grand River for a few hours for carp before we head to Grandmas for supper. Victoria , dad and I went down to see if we could find them. Some of our spots are still frozen but we found a good spot at the tip of a bay. I lost a good carp and then dad caught a 21.5" carp. I moved spots and then I got a nice 22" carp. A little while later I got another 22" carp.
Dad missed one fish and then said we would have to go in 15 mins.. He walked down the bay to check another spot . He was only gone a little bit when I got a good hit and my line screamed out. The fish fought hard for about 10 mins. . Finally my dad netted it and it was a 15lb 28.5" carp. It was very fat and heavy. dad says he may take me in the morning too.

Nice carp Jonathan just seeing you catching fish fish from shore in your area get me anchious to fish open water. As soon as the ice is gone in my area I would be gone bullhead ( barbotte) perch and crappie fishing.
Cant wait for that time again another 3 weeks I think and they should start biting.
