We were all up and enjoying a breakfast of deer steak at 4:15am and disscussed our game plan for our last rip on the river. We liked the wind conditions and temp forecast, so we were in quite a hurry to get underway. We had to be to the airport late in the afternoon, so we'd have to be off the water a little earlier today.
Today would prove to be the day of double headers! We all took turns setting the hook and bringing the lakers in 2 at time.

RJ's slow action from yesterday would prove to be "just one of those days" because today he was slamming the hook into them nicely. It became a net your own fish day because we were having a blast with scoring. haha

The fish today really ranged in colors...grey, green, blue sheen, dark and light....just a full range of beautiful looking fish. I tried to capture some of the blended colors on this laker, but the picture just didn't do it justice.

Final tally for today was 35 lakers...MM-9, Markus-15, RJ-11. I've had some great fishing days this year, but these past couple of days were a big highlight for me personally. I don't have words to describe how incredible the past three days have been. Seeing MM's never ending enthusism with every hook set and watching RJ grin ear to ear each and everytime he lifted a big laker out of the net was just too much.

I dropped the boys off at the airport and they're on their way home to Ottawa. Man, what good time we had.
