:D Went out again for two hours today. Dad has to go to work this afternoon.

Image

After getting set up we found out some suckers had moved in.

Image

I got a nice 25" carp a little while later.

Image

I was using worms as bait and i put two on the hook near the end of our time and tried a spot just up from where we were getting the fish. This time I only put it about 4' from shore and as I was winding up the slack my line took off in a straight line. I got a nice 27.5" carp. Dad got some fish too and he will tell his side.

Wowzers, Jonathan- you sure have the carp mastered!

I bet John is getting pretty jealous at this point.

Keep up the good work, but PLEASE let your Dad catch some good ones, too- he's on my team.

D As the water warms the fish are becoming more active. Suckers on the move is always a good sign of spring. I got two nice white suckers to start off.

Image

The sucker bite was hard to detect in the breeze. It was very light..I noticed my line went slack and even though I was winding in I kept getting slack. Finally I felt some weight and set the hook on this nice 24" red horse sucker.

Image

Now Jonathan had all the big carp so far , but I had faith I would get some. I landed a 22" one and then I finally got a screamer and landed a chunky 25.5" carp. Not bad for twp hours.. Now its time to go to work..

FANTASTIC JOB ON THE CARP! I AM VERRRY IMPRESSED!

(Now, Salmon, as for you...   )

Gotta love that last pic of you Jonathan, standing on the point with the large carp -- I hope your Dad puts that one in a frame. More memories!

Conrat's on some successful fishing, guys!

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
