I just wanted to say Big Thank You to CB, FH, and Bobber for the leg work put in up front. And as much to RJ, Kim, and Jazman for working the booth all day. And any others who helped, my apologies, thank you too.

Also, honourable mention to my special guests, Markus and Hoover. From me and the Misses, we sure are glad you boys made the trip down, and our door is always open for the next visit.

During most of the day, Hoover and I found ourselves staying warm is Mark's van, while he went on tour to shake hands and kiss babies. A big thanks to HOF who lent us his auger and for the 2 (and only) minnows I used as bait all day. And BTS for the rod holders, and sausages. :D

Back at the dinner, it was great to meet so many new faces. As well, during the Big Jim seminar, a hand full of us stayed behind to shoot the breeze. Here I met Legend, and had a chance to catch up with FFF and Greymist, Hoover and RUK. We figured since Jim wasn't covering the fine art of white spinnerbaiting, then we already knew all we needed to know.

At the end of the day, it wasn't enough to shake hands and say good-bye, so I invited all of the stragglers out to my place.
We had a fire out back (thanks Jazman, I never would have got that going without ya), while concurrenly running a kitchen kailee for those who'd seen enough of the outdoors for one day.

Thanks to all who made it out. C'mon spring fling!!! Here is a few pics.

:) Guys, the pleasure was mine.

It was a shame that I had to bail, but I had some commitments the next day... and oh yes, the Daytona 500 was running, :D a sure sign of spring if I ever saw one.

Thanks again FFF and Greymist for the 12volt blender. WIG, it was a treat meeting you and the lads at the table.

And strangely enough, I did get to meet Salmon, Jonathan, Markus, Hoover for the first time. Who knew, local boys in Ottawa. :)

We'll do it all again at Westmeath! :P

I am proud to say that Bowzog and I were two of the 10 scorecards sold after 8!! Not good with the morning thing, ya know! :)

To all who weren't at the derby, did ya notice the Fish-Hawk.net touques??!! They're great! I don't wear touques, but I wear this one with pride! Nice work guys! You were really good at keeping the news of the new touques "under your hat" until derby day. First time I saw it was on Bacon's head while we were still on the 174!
