I shot my first gobbler this spring and kept his tail. It's all dried out now and ready to go on the wall. The trouble is that anytime i see a fan mount kit (online), it mostly looks like crap. for example:
https://www.amazon.ca/Allen-Company-Har ... tail+mount
"wood grain look". (aka, wood covered in plastic).
https://www.amazon.ca/H-S-Turkey-Mounti ... tail+mount
this is obviously particle board.
http://www.cabelas.ca/product/66761/mou ... -collector
Tacky!
I'd pay more for something that looks professional. something like this (but they don't ship to canada)
http://www.walnuthollowcountry.com/delu ... splay-kit/
or this (that is crazy expensive, but likely custom made)
https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/2748683 ... e_active_1
I don't plan on putting more than the one beard on it.
Help?

I agree. I have 3 of the nice oak ones while they still could be bought here.
Since then, I have had trouble finding them, but once I had 17 tails on the garage wall, I quit keeping them.
Sportsmans Guide ships to Canada. The linked mount is decent quality oak.

Shipping is pricey, I haven't used them personally.
Another option is to find a retired woodworker hobbyist and get some oak plaques made, a bandsaw and router is all they would need.
Cheers

I could buy two of these to get free US shipping and have them shipped to a US address (perhaps on my next trip for work).
they'd be $25 USD each.
https://www.amazon.com/Walnut-Hollow-Co ... rkey+mount
anyone interested in one? ~35 bucks CAD?
