Turkey 2010 off to a great start

had them gobbling all around starting at 0535.. came down from the roost at 0550, 2 Toms and 4 jakes came into the call.. took the biggest,, 24lbs 12oz (my pb) 9 inch beard and 7/8's spurs at 0618.. beautiful morning to boot!

Congrats on the opening day bird!!
That's a huge tom.
Opening day I heard lots of gobbling, saw a few toms, several hens in the dekes but no toms came in range for me... Got two last year - but they sure can be tough to get!!
