Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!

Your right on about speed vs. depth. The buoyancy factor is something I never considered but that makes sense. The maximum depth of a crankbait is based on length of line out and once you get there it won't go any deeper(buoyancy). Isn't a 3oz snap weight in effect a mini downrigger depending on the...

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!

Yes I have. I have the offshore tackle snap weights and planer boards. I downloaded the dive chart, printed and had it laminated. I keep it in my boat and use it all the time. The snap weights come in various sizes and depending on the weight, speed using the 50/50 method you can dial in a crawler h...

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!

Thanks for the reply, I have the PT App and I do a lot of trolling. The App doesn't include snap weight conversions, just lure, line length and speed. The Walleye seem to be deeper this year(heat, water levels) and I have had a lot of success with the Flickershads. I have done some research on the n...

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!

Question.... I started using the 50/50 snap weight system to target specific depths for wallèye. According to the charts for example a worm harness or a lipless lure will go to 18ft at say 2mph with a 1 1/2 oz snap weight. How will that depth change with a 7m flickershad that dives to 14ft without t...

Re: Bobs lake biggie

Yes it does, I was wondering when someone was going to call me on that. The lip is about an inch to the left of the 1. Not sure if you have to close their mouth when you measure them, I did weigh it though. I was really more interested in getting it back in the water so it can produce more of the sa...

Re: Trailer Wiring Problem

I would plug it into your your truck and turn on the 4 ways. Remove the lens covers on the affected lights. Wiggle the bulbs and see if they flash. If they do remove the bulbs and clean the socket with contact cleaner and replace the bulbs. If they dont flash, remove them and check the filaments, th...

Try "Never Dull" I use it on my motorcycle pipes and it takes off everything but the chrome. It comes in a blue tin and you can pick it up at Canadian tire.

Re: Deep Cycle Battery Info

First post, I would like to weigh in on this. The list includes 4D and 8D batteries which are commonly used in heavy equipment applications? Group 24 and 27 are used in pick up trucks. Group 31 batteries are commonly used heavy trucks in multiples of 2 or 4. When your replacing a battery make sure y...
