Re: For you hight teck stuff. Cool new unit
I have a FishHunter and it works well enough for my purposes. I hook it up to my 10" tablet so the display is nice and big. it doesn't work in water less than six feet though. I don't have a boat so I can definitely see myself using it a lot during the summer as well since I can cast it out, th...

Re: My monster Walleye this winter.
I only went out a couple times last winter and didn't catch anything, so I'm definitely happy with my two catches this year. It wasn't until the summer that I rediscovered my love for fishing, and haven't really had a whole lot of success on the rideau, but being stuck to the shore is definitely hur...

My monster Walleye this winter.
Here's my only two catches this winter so far. I don't get out much, and I'm only just starting to learn to ice fish, so it's better than nothing. The second one I was in the middle of changing the propane tank on the heater and didn't have time to take my gloves off. Those tanks frost up pretty goo...

Re: George Challies - worth the trip?
Ok thanks for the info. I live in Kemptville and haven't had a lot of luck with the Walleye this year. Is there anywhere else near here that would be worth visiting for trout?
Edit: I assume it's the same deal with the stocked quarry near Cornwall?

George Challies - worth the trip?
I recently learned that Rainbow Trout has been stocked there in the past, but I have no information past 2012. I was thinking of making the trip Friday as it's not far from where I live. Has anyone fished there recently and has success? I've never fished trout before but heard a lot of good things a...

Re: Shore fishing in the Kemptville Area
Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll give the bridge at the 44 another shot in the morning. I assume I'd want to target small mouth, walleye and possibly pike there? I only fished there once and nobody that was there caught anything.

Shore fishing in the Kemptville Area
I moved to Kemptville a few years ago but have only recently gotten back in to fishing. Unfortunately, I'm stuck to the shore and haven't had much success. I primarily target bass, but I've only managed to catch a couple of small pike. At this point, I don't care what I catch as long as I catch some...
