Re: Anyone had dealings with this guy??
why? you cant do a transom proper, without some part of the top cap,(all boats are built different) without knees, top notch materials and new gelcoat. it's never just a spot on the transom,I dont know anybody with a proper shop, tools, using correct, quality materials, that can work for less than $100/hr.

Re: new finder
Xred: The si transducer will read 2d, just not at speed. This is true of side imaging or structure scan. You can use an external puck, as long as it's compatible with Humminbird. I sell the Ipilot link, but don't stock it. Only takes a day or two to get in. I do stock the Ipilot though. Stock musky...

Re: new finder
not sure why you would need a hds7 gen 3,when great deals are around on gen2's. unless you are into 3d SS.,I run birds for years and have an 1198 and a 997 on my console still, with no interest in updating, 'SI on the jackplate and 2d in the bilge with a splitter, like Ed explained,I run an hds 9Touch...

Re: Linking units together
www.fishingspecialties.com ,has a reasonable transducer solution, I have the same problem with a MG xi5,there are several ingenious mounting ideas out there, but using SI on the actual motor foot, gives you a continuous washout view in SI, I built my own independent transducer bracket, out of an old ...

Re: Anyone had dealings with this guy??
I wouldn't do a proper transom job for under $2500, $340 shoulda' been a red flag Bill.

Re: Linking units together
Awesome, I'll swing by the store and we can go through my options. . I know I can mount the transducer on the ulterra but have trouble figuring how and where to run the cables for it .. not sure on the ulterra, but most electric steer MK's have a groove in the shaft to run the cable, some simple disa...

I have been looking at a great many Senko brands and senko accessories and I came across this product: http://www.wackojig.com/Wackojig%20white%20background.jpg http://www.wackojig.com Wondering if anyone has used these or has any thoughts about how it might or might not be effective. -------------...

Re: Senkos, Senkos, Senkos.
I agree with mick ,i like a circle hook, how long the bait lasts is relevant to how much salt is poured into them, yamamoto have tons of salt ,great action, but don't last long, i have mine poured by a buddy with no salt, but scented with floatant added, for split or tex rigs, and minimal salt for wacky. ...

Re: Sad new for my boat
I blew up the bottom end on my 95 Yamaha 200hp salt water series 2 this summer. I knew at some point there was going to be an issue when I bought the boat. Was hoping to repower with a 4 stroke before it happened. Apparently, that's how my look works cause that didn't happen. I ordered a brand new ...

Re: Motorguide Xi5 or X5
Is the X5 not the cable driven model where the Xi5 is the electric (wireless pedal) version? I'm thinking Matt just prefers cable driven motors. I've got the terrova and came from cable drive . It is we're not for all of the added bonuses on the terrova, for shear performance, I would have switched...
