Re: 2019 Ice season, Shirley's bay
Ice report: 5-6 inches 1 kilometer out. fished 9.5 feet of water, marked 2 fish and caught 1 walleye around 13 inches.
Caution, weather doesnt look good for tomorrow, river ice can change rapidly from heavy rain so be careful if you venture out tomorrow!

The pannies are biting well!
Went to a small lake the other day and nailed a bunch of nice pannies! Water temps were at 52 degrees, it's only getting better! http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n219/cyrusgomari/crappie_zpswh5ww8a6.jpg?t=1493326515 http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n219/cyrusgomari/sunnieo_zps1krtt0fw.jpg?t=1493...

That's a rock bass for sure
I caught some very pale silver ones out of white lake through the ice, but generally they are darker. Just like smallies not all of them have red eyes!

Gar and cats!
Went out for gar instead of bass on opener, got rewarded with a 44 incher!! The cats have been biting well recently, never seen a gut like this on a cat before  http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n219/cyrusgomari/fhcat_zps9qstgapw.jpg http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n219/cyrusgomari/fhgar3...

My first selfie!
Lolol
I was targeting cats on the bottom with sucker chunks and ended up catching 2 pike along with a bunch of nice sized cats! The pike measured 29 and one was a little over 30 inches.

Beauty eyes Yan! Great to see them still biting in the shallows!
For those who don't know, until june 15th your only allowed to keep under 15.7 inch eyes in the Ottawa River.
For the Rideau and other bodies of water in zone 18 its 15.7-19.7 inches until it closes.
