Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!

Here is the question of the week (for me at least). I think I am pretty good at figuring things out. The one situation that has always stumped me is suspended fish. E.G. You can see them suspended at about 20 feet in 40 plus feet of water. While I have crankbaits that can go down deep, it's when th...

Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!

Fall smallmouth fishing. My cottage is on a deep rocky lake with very little in the way of weeds. I can catch smallies consistently until around the end of august. Once things start to cool off my success rate goes down the toilet. The pattern I normally fish is 5-10 fow near deep drop offs - top w...

Re: trailer tires

I just replaced my trailer tires after having a 5 year old Carlisle blowout on the highway, I went with RoadRiderST's after talking with many contractor buddies who run them on their trailers, not many people out there harder on their equipment! So far I'm happy with them. I sourced them from BlackD...

Re: Fishing near low quebec

Your going to have a hell of a time finding lakes up there with public access, most are private and the locals aren't very fond of outsiders.

Re: Sticky Skirts - How To Stop It?

Baby powder! It soaks up any water and allows the rubber to stay flexible and separated for a long time! Be liberal with it, my jig box is loaded with baby powder. I thought about that too, but I am afraid of scent. Maybe pure unscented talc? Craig PS @ Joco... never heard of any of those things. W...

Re: Bass Opener

I launch my 18ft bass boat in at the Clayton/Taylor launch regularly throughout the year, and have never run into any problems. Only issue you may have is if someone is parked in the little round about, if your decent at driving & backing up a trailer you shouldn't have any issues.

Re: Battery charging help

If your boat is in the water at a dock all summer there's really not much you can do other then taking your batteries out and charging at home, unless they'll let you run a long extension cord up to the closest outlet. When I go up north for a week and my boat is docked I bring along a generator, su...
