Re: robertson lake - lanark county

Awesome lake for smallmouth largemouth. Walleye too. Lots of different areas to fish way to many options. I used to have a cottage there. My favourite lake for bass.

I run for walleye 8lb braid to a lead of 8lb fluorocarbon leader usually start with 24 inches so retying is not a problem of it being too short. Even ice fishing for steelhead we go with thew fluorocarbon lead in 3.3lb never any problems . Lakers with 10lb fluoro lead should be all you need. Steelhe...

No i did not have the luxury of a shack but the wind was very light. that made fishing bearable. my spoon is the small size of the bay de noc do-jigger as well as the swedish pimple in silver modified with my own green lure tape as theirs is not my fav.

in the sun

I seem to have better luck for walleye through the ice on sunny days on the ottawa river. Does any one else have the same results? could it be the dirty off coloured water on this river? sorry no photos yet havent figured out how to take them from my computer onto the website lol.

eyes are back

Out on wa was cold and windy. The walleye and sauger were cooperating. got 2 eyes 2 sauger and a ton of short hits on the spoon. All in all, not too bad for a cold day.
