Awesome lake for smallmouth largemouth. Walleye too. Lots of different areas to fish way to many options. I used to have a cottage there. My favourite lake for bass.

I run for walleye 8lb braid to a lead of 8lb fluorocarbon leader usually start with 24 inches so retying is not a problem of it being too short. Even ice fishing for steelhead we go with thew fluorocarbon lead in 3.3lb never any problems . Lakers with 10lb fluoro lead should be all you need. Steelhe...

Hey just wonderin if anyone on the board has done a steelhead journey to the peirs of lake O. Any harbour fishin or river fishin? ive not been out myself yet just wonderin. I hear the ice is pretty thick on all rivers but the big boys come at this time of year.

Hey all, got out to petrie for a quick walleye fish from 1 to 5. It was real cold but that didnt keep the walleye from biting. Managed 2 walleye and one sauger all roughly 18 inches. Lots of hits. No work today, too cold for the guys. Instead of workin alone, I fished alone . Managed to scrape a couple more eyes off petrie. All are catch n release. Silver green still the top spoon for me .

I seem to have better luck for walleye through the ice on sunny days on the ottawa river. Does any one else have the same results? could it be the dirty off coloured water on this river? sorry no photos yet havent figured out how to take them from my computer onto the website lol.

eyes are back
Out on wa was cold and windy. The walleye and sauger were cooperating. got 2 eyes 2 sauger and a ton of short hits on the spoon. All in all, not too bad for a cold day.
