Ya you're definitely safe out there.... as long as you don't get stuck on the snow drifts.

We're the furthest hut out (about 1.5 km) and it's at least 16" of ice there now.

We're looking for bigger walleye. The numbers have been good but they've mostly been ones we've had to throw back. The biggest we've gotten so far is about 2 lbs. Last year we were pulling out 3-4 lb walleye. I got about a 5lb pike out of the bunch too. Lots more lyng out there for sure as well but ...

The drifts are there but should be ok to get in and out. I wouldn't be surprised if someone hasn't plowed out the entrance.
