It was a great place to get kids started!

So the weekend camping was cold, but fun.

Fishing was NON EXISTENT!

The bite was off due to the NE wind, and the passing storm. Just our luck. I had talked to several fisherman over the course of 3 days, and they had nary a nibble...

Better luck next time...

I use a 30lb on my 14' boat... works fine... 8 gauge directly to a battery when needed.

Tons of parasites that I have found. Right across the lake is a "Community camp' on crown land.
But I have camped on the boat launch too.

So I booked this camping trip without looking to see when our long weekend was... Well the boy will miss two days of school and I get a REALLY short work week! Two pluses in my books :roll: We are camping at Finlayson point and will launch from there. Anyone fished this lake in awhile? Any tips? It'...

I have camped there a few times... Great place to catch fish, but I wouldn't eat them...there is only about 15' of water at it's deepest point, but nice fish in there!
