Re: Garmin map for depth shading
Back in the day the Navionics charts showed shaded depth for smaller bodies of water, but now they are owned by Garmin as well so I'm not sure that's still the case.

Re: fishing rod
Daniel: Could use a little more information to properly answer you question. Budget, target species, spinning or casting. The Shimano SLX or Daiwa Tatula XT Are great rods for the price. I wouldn't call them "entry level" though as they are better rods than that. Price range $120.00 to $15...

Re: License requirements for Lake St Francis?
Ontario and Quebec reciprocate. You need a licence from where you launch however, ie: If you launch from Ontario you need an Ontario licence. The Akwesanse licence can be purchased at Tight Lines. Otherwise you can get one from one of the Marinas on the reservation. Raison River Marine used to sell ...

Down so excess water drains. Also I cover the prop and exhaust (form the centre of the prop) with a plastic bag to keep any other water from entering.

Re: Right Fishing Line For a Baitcaster
Go to a store you trust, preferably an independent, and ask that question. They should be able to help you with your answer. Be prepared for a few questions in advance though.
Not sure what area your in but I work at Tight Lines in Cornwall and could certainly help you out.
