Water levels at Muskrat

Anyone know what the water levels are like on Muskrat? Thinking of heading there Saturday and want to be sure we can launch.

Re: Upgrading my electronics

I doubt you will be able to see fish in the weeds on your SI unless the weeds are very thin. You will be able to see holes in the weeds that generally indicate a rock which would be a good place to find fish. Using the DI or 2D beams, your coverage is only about 2' wide.

Re: Lake Chautauqua NY

I have fished it in the spring for bass, but not in the last few years. There was a healthy population of musky last time I was there though. No idea what the fall fishing is like.

Re: Product Shortages

The reasons for the shortages are all of the above. A lot of the manufacturers were shut down for a time during the peak of the virus. Even now they are working short staffed. Along with that, even though a product is US or Canada made, certain components are coming from overseas. Examples would be ...

Rockey's Tackle repair in Orillia is a Pen service centre I believe. Should be able to google them.

Drive south along the Rideau. Wherever there is a lock should be a shore fishing location.

Re: Minn Kota repairs

Your choices for authorized service are Prop Shop in Kingston (613-634-7033) or Fish n' Tech in Lachute, (sorry, don't have their number at home). There is also Bay Distributing in North Bay.

Re: Who makes the best side scan sonar?

They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I carry Humminbird and Garmin at Paddletales. On my boat I have run Birds in the past and have been pleased with them. This winter I added a Garmin just for the Live Scope feature. Haven' had a chance to use it though. Maybe tomorrow. Lol. The pluses for...

Re: Underwater boat light

Why you would put a light on an underwater boat. Wouldn't that be a submarine light? Perhaps a boat wreck light?

Asking for a friend.

What RJ said plus a suspendstrip added to the back. I think it's signed by David Chong as well to make it irresistable to fish. Lol

Re: Cardinal

Had a guy in the store this afternoon who was on his way home from Cardinal. He said the fishing was tough and a ton of boats out in that area.
