Glad you all had a good time. The rain was more a blessing than a curse I think. From most reports, that's what activated the bite. It seems it was the teams that fished through it that had the big catches. It was good to meet you, Yannick. Thanks for coming by to say hello. And, definately, come to...

Thank you to all who attended the event. It was a huge success. We had 100 teams (102 registered, but 1 no showed and 1 had a family death). You can check www.wendoverwalleye.ca to see the money results, but in the end, we gave out $6200 in prize money (one team took home $1500!!). There was about $...

I think that Shell's nitrogen-gas might just be some well marketed hype. I will admit, I don't use it as there are no shell stations anywhere near me, if you read up on it, you'll find out that ALL gasoline companies are required to put detergents in your gas to clean engine components. It seems tha...

There are loopholes to the whole safety-kit issue. IF you read the fine print, if you are for example in a kayak with no safety kit and are questioned, it is enough to say that you are training for a rowing compeition and this way you are not required to have a kit.

I'd have to say Wendover hahaah. Honeslty, the South Nation River empties there and the Walleye use it for spawning. So, the population there is very strong. And with them, you have great pike and muskie fishing too!

You might want to try Twin Lakes, it's off highway 41 near Dacre. As the name implies, there are two lakes there, Upper and Lower Twin. Lower has Rainbows and a ministry road into the side with a natural boat launch at the end of it. Upper twin is small and you have to hike to it up a trail, but it ...

I plan on fishing Bark with my brother and my dad in June. He goes there a couple times a year and generally says he has a rough time. Although he usually heads there for the trout and not so much the walleye. ha, maybe that's why he's having trouble? Let me know if you have any luck so I can get an...
