Long Island Locks Ice Condition

Hey folks just wondering if anyone has ventured out to the locks, what's the action out there and how thick is the ice? Wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas and peace, love and prosperity in the New Year. Stay safe and stay warm. :D

Hook on a half cut piece of shrimp on both hooks and whip it out as far as you can.....bring in your line slack with a bit of tension...

Long Island Locks

Fished the locks this afternoon in Manotick....what a mess walking onto the ice, there was about 8 inches of slush/water below the 10-15 cm of snow! The perch were non existent and the pike were no where to be found.....anyone having better luck than me? If so, where? I can use the help....lol
