I chose silver. The wifey will be coming along, therefore "our" car will not be going on any ice. I will be taking the ankle express from roadside. I like the idea of being on a smaller lake. Maybe, just maybe, I would find the fish.

I have only ever caught panfish and what I think was a catfish through the ice. I love it though ! I too am one of those people already excited for ice. Being boatless, I scout out my ice fishing sites while shore fishing.... Atleast thats what I tell the wife we are doing when we are'nt catching....

I cannot remember exact numbers, I want to say only 6 were boated. The biggest was 42" I think. Caught by Trophymuskie's daughter.
