Motor stall during quick throttle down

Currently my boat motor has an annoying problem. It actually started at the end of last season. If I throttle back quickly from anything over 3000rpm to below 1500 the motor will quit. This can get annoying, particularly when tubing, sking ect. I can be @ 5k and back down quickly to 3k with no issue...

Yes we'll dock for the night in WestPort. Does that fee mean you pay for each way or you pay once and that includes your return? I think that means you pay once which includes the return,,, not sure if the return is same day or not. You may want to call to be sure 1-888-773-8888. Its been many year...

Thanks, I promised the girlfriend that we would end up at WestPort for dinner time. So I figure I will troll the Big Rideau on Saturday and end up going through the Narrows Lock (how much does that cost?) around 5pm and continue to troll to WestPort for around 7pm. Can't be much more than 7km from ...

Re: Big Rideau's best fish sections / where to launch the Bo

Change in plans, I'll launch on the other side of Narrows Lock and work the Big Rideau instead... is their Lakers in and around that section? Dartee, here is a Google image that has what looks to be a Docking area that could have a launch. Does this look like the spot your talking about? http://map...

Re: Big Rideau's best fish sections / where to launch the Bo

I'm off to the Big Rideau this weekend and I'm going to work the whole perimeter from Narrows Locks Rd. to Westport. I have 3 questions: 1. I'm hoping to launch the Boat near Narrows Locks Rd. and was wondering where the best spot to launch is? 2. Is it safe to park at the launch area overnight (ie...

Thanks, everyone. Suddsy , I figured I might run into a Hawker or two on Charleston, but we got kind of a late start. I expected more of a madhouse there at the launch, but we only waited for a few minutes behind one other person. Coming out, we had no wait. I think most of the religious laker take...

I have also caught a few pike and smallies off the riggers @ 30 to 40 feet down.
My biggest smallies have been @ those depths. The pike are usually long and skinny (snakes).

Charleston Lake Opener

Got out Sat and Sunday for the Div 18 opener on Charleston Lake with the Father in-law. This will make 20yrs that we have fished the opener together. Starting 2 weeks earlier sure seemed to make a difference in the boat traffic, there was no where near the usual # of boats and every one was spread o...

Nice Job on the Laker by your son

We didn't see too many fish brought in Sat or Sunday.
Most in the 2lbs range an a few in the 4 but not many.

The reg change I think through a few people off, water was lighter the usual.

Division 18 Panfish limits lifted

New news for today (its only a portion of the Article) The Ontario government has lifted catch limits on sunfish and yellow perch for at least two years, a move applauded by local tourism operators who faced financial damage from the restrictions. But an outspoken eastern Ontario MPP, while welcomin...

To add to RJ's reply. If running the rigger 20-35 ft ,I tend to use a longer lead off the ball (40+ feet). The brighter the day or heavier the boat traffic the further back I go. As I go deeper I start to shorten the distance behind the ball.(sometimes as close as 10ft) SO far Saturday is looking br...
