Every trip to Ontario makes me wish I brought my fly rod. Was wondering if it would be worth it lake fishing, I think YES, and would appreciate any tips, hints, or advice for smallmouth fishing in Ontario lakes.
Time table will be first part of July.
Thanks

There are sunglasses and then there are sunglasses... +1 on that. You do get what you pay for. However, some people are not into quality for one reason or another. There are a lot of very good ones out there and MJ's HAVE GOT to be on the list of the best of the best. Don't forget about frame fit. ...

Aric, We have caught a l o t of smallies using the single blade spinnerbait. Used both the Colorado and willow blade. We even catch pike on them as well. As you know and IanD pointed out, the willow blade runs deeper. As for a suggestion, you could box up all you have and ship them to me if you want...

I am an eye doctor and want to point out some basic things about glass, polycarbonate, and plastic spectacle lenses. Some things to think about....Glass lenses are heavier and can make a BIG difference in some prescription Rx's. Glass is the most scratch resistant. However, glass is easier to break ...

Best non-lead sinkers and jigs
Hey, Just looking at the tackle box and notice I need to think about stocking back up on sinkers. Thought this might be a good time to switch to non-lead. What is the group's opinion as to the best alternative to lead. Also, best place to get them. Probably get a few non-lead jigs as well. Thanks, E...

Trailer Tires
Need to replace the tires on the boat trailer. Thinking about getting car radials instead of trailer tires. Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Bent Trolling Motor Column
Hope this is the correct forum.
We have a Motorguide FW46 bow mount trolling motor. Found out it does not get along with Ontario rock very well. Any tips on getting the column straight again? Is there and aftermarket steel column that can replace the original?
Thanks for the help,
Eagle

Been in contact with the charger manufacturer who had me run a couple of tests. The charger seems to have passed both. Took the suspect battery to a local auto parts store. Hooked it up and it did not have enough charge to run the battery test. So, it appears that it is a dead battery problem. Going...

UPDATE Engine battery is toast. Contacted the manufacture and they want me to run a couple of tests on the charger that is not described in the manual. Test one both banks passed. The second test takes 4.5 to 5 hours. At about 4.5 hours it started to rain and did not think it was a good idea to leav...

Bought a 2 bank on board charger for the boat. The bank for the deep cycle seems to work great. The one for the engine, well...at full charge the voltmeter reads 12 to 12.5V. At maintance mode for the deep cycle I get about 13.5V. Concluded that there is something wrong with the engine bank. I did f...

Spinner Bait Design For Smallies
Greetings, Searched the board, but was unsuccessful on this topic. So, if this is old ground, I would appreciate PMing the link. Anyway, running low on spinner baits used to fish for Smallies. Wondered what the Hawk Talk spinner bait design for Mr. Bronze would be. We are presently using a 1/...

Transformer...Hmmm, guess I could hook up to another vehicle and see if the problem is there or not. If it works like it should, then I need to look at the vehicle. Where would I look for this transformer? Definately a new one on me? Bulbs are good. We soldered the wires together on that side. Could...
