One more qualifier - that was on smaller lakes (no current - rivers will be a no-go real soon if not already) and as long as the nights stay below freezing like they're forecast to.

I'm pretty sure MOST places will be safe to WALK on. Its the shorelines and access points, reed beds and under peoples shacks that will open up. I checked my log and we had this same wx pattern happen late in last season too but I was still fishing (walk on) well into March, and even April further n...

Yep. 6" holes don't leave you much choice - you should have seen the fun I had trying to nurse a hefty OOS bass through them. :lol:
