I'll never break this PB. It took a long time for my arm to heal, so that's it.

Re: Shirleys bay Ice

I won't be venturing out quite yet.

I'll wait until a couple of you guys fall through the ice and tell me what the depth is.

Then I'll set up beside your memorial markers.

Re: Man Made Fish "Cribs"

Years ago, I was assisting an older cottager on Danford lake with lawn cleaning chores. He asked that I keep all the shrub trimmings and tie them into large "bouquets" using rope. This puzzled me but he explained that he tied a rock to the base of each, rowed them out into the lake to drop...

Re: Who's Excited for Ice Fishing?!!..

Me, Me, I'm excited. I'm not around to do much soft water fishing, but come the ice. I'm in.

Ottawa River, Bay of Quinte, back lakes, bring it on.

PS Tia, I know where you were fishing in that photo. Great spot. Wink wink.

Re: Sausage Help - Why is it always so dry

Even after reading all the suggestions above it's hard to pinpoint the problem. Is it perhaps just a matter of perception? For my part, I use the garlic sausage spice binder mix from "YES GROUP" meat processing supplies (item # 123327) via mail order from Toronto. Sometimes I add extra ing...

I have the sausage making book by Rytek Kutas (?), which is supposed to be the bible of sausage making. But, the on...

Re: Deep Water at Dunrobin Shores

It'll be interesting to see what you pull out of those depths.

I've fished that stretch many times and have had little to show for it. I expect your techniques will have better results then mine. Go for it.

Lac St Charles is a private lake. There's an exclusive fishing club there and few cottages. No public access unless you know someone on it.
