It will mark fish, I turn off my fish id ane just use the indicators my unit shows, not the little fish symbols

I have used an older piranha model and it works ok, adjust it so you can see your bait moving up and down as you jig and so you can see bottom.

I take a small bty drill with me, you can buy good ice anchors at cdn tire. Also you can use long 5/16 in lag bolts. My friend uses a small hand drill the old fashioned kind with a crank and gear on the side, I hear an ice pick will get your hold started too, and drill bit 1/4 to 3/8 should work for...

Check out the Accu-cast reels for ice fishing, they are a very good ice reel, they have an extended handle so you can wear gloves, the reel is tilted towards the tip so the line comes off easily. 3 years on the eskimo now and still going great, the engine always starts on 1 or 2 pulls, the rapala have the same engine. the eskimo have the strongest clutch. check the jiffy theydo not have the same engine they used to.

Great lake, just watch the parking, along the road is fine but check the signs, you may have to park up the road a piece ...not far... but not across from the launch

Nice report on Round and Collins lakes, I have never tried Round lake, I must give it a try. I fish from a Kayak and that lakes looks perfect.
