Re: Sad new for my boat
I blew up the bottom end on my 95 Yamaha 200hp salt water series 2 this summer. I knew at some point there was going to be an issue when I bought the boat. Was hoping to repower with a 4 stroke before it happened. Apparently, that's how my look works cause that didn't happen. I ordered a brand new b...

Re: Planner board help
Are your boards home made or manufactured. Possibly if home made your eye bolt with your connection may be to far back.

Re: Fish Gripper - Any Good?
I have a gripper in my tackle box in Florida. Most of the fish we catch down south have a pretty good set of teeth, some way more than others. I don't remember what make it is but looks like the one pictured. It works great. Mitch.

Re: There's Splake in them thar hills 2015
Nice fish. The bows were biting pretty good up there as well. Also biting were some thieves. Nephew was in a popular bow lake and left his Stilh chain saw out. Apparently some dick on a 4 wheeler decided he needed it more. Tough lesson to learn as it was a high end saw. Just a warning to everybody. ...

Re: Best Hard Top Tonneau Cover... ???
I Ordered my soft cover from extang. Had it delivered to Ogdensburg. Saved a pile of $$. Extang also has a factory outlet online. Check there. Best I could find in Ottawa was just under $400.$210 us from the outlet. Not sure if hard covers are there but looking is cheap!Mitch

Re: flouro to braid knots
Double uni knot. Check netknots.com for animated how to tie. We use the double uni for all our rods down south from 15lb braid with 25 or 40lb flouro up to 65lb braid and 125lb flouro. Going to be fishing Charlotte Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico by Feb 15. yee haa! Counting down the days already.Mitch

You can try Netknots.com as well. The more important knots are shown in animation. It's how I learned to tie my knots when fishing in Charlotte Harbor in Florida.

If you are still looking for a trailer, check out Excalibur. I bought a 4500lb tandem 5 years ago and it is a great trailer. Galvinized in and out with galvinized wheels as well. Has electric breaks on one axle. Would of prefered both. Style of bunks you are talking about. Loads a boat very easily. ...

As to being 50' off shore fishing in April and May,you would be suprised how quickly your body starts to show signs of hypothermea. Water te...

FYI New York State boating
For everybodys information you are now required to wear a life jacket or pfd in any boat under 20' from Nov1 to May 1 on any water in New York. I was down shopping on the weekend and stopped in the PBS and Gander Mountain and picked up a copy of the new regs.
