Thanks everyone :D I caught it propwashing a spinnerbait on one of the busiest days that I have ever seen. (August 3 holiday monday) It was on a pretty narrow stretch of river and with all the huge boats going by creating big wakes it made the release difficult. It took 45 minutes until that fish sw...

I had a cottage on Roddick lake for 15 years and I caught some awesome bass in that lake. Very steep shorelines and lots of angular points. I used to go shallow and catch small (very small ) sunfish and use them with a bobber and the bass would KILL them. It is also a decent lake for trout but make ...

Off season SUCKS!
I guess I'm just complaining but this has been the longest OFF season for me since, well, forever. I've been out cathching perch and crappie and the odd other kind of baitfish but I am just not satisfied! Pike opens in two weeks and I guess I'll be out but I just can't wait to bring out the big rods...

I stink of fish!!! (Finally)
It's been a long winter and although I'm a Musky hunter, I went out with the the bait tackle and some worms and slayed about 40 perch in 3 hrs. Beautiful day!! Eccolands launch opened today and althought the water is down about two feet, I think I'll take the boat out tomorrow and see how many worms...

Thanks Guys. My family and I rent a cottage every summer and now that I fish for musky I want to rent on a good musky lake. I would be interested in a quebec lake as we have always rented in quebec. I've seen a cottage on Donaldson Lake and apparently there are muskies there but it looks like a pret...

Muskie Lake???
Hi All, This is my first post and I'm just wondering if anyone can tell me where the closest "Musky" lake is in relation to Ottawa. I fish both the Ottawa and Rideau rivers but I'm interested in trying out a local lake.

So far so god
Well, this is my first post since joining and I'd like to say that I've had a good year so far. It's my first year as a musky hunter and I've landed 10 since mid-July. Here's my track record: #1 50" trolling with an 3/4 oz orange and black spinnerbait in about 4'. Not bad for my first one!!! Ot...
