I've got this info from MNR last year.

MNR stocked most of these lakes twice a year, last time they stocked was at end of March this year, through the ice.

Bad luck for several people....no way!
Last year at this time I was able to catch my limit withing a few hours

No bites for three weekends in a row :cry: Other people that I have talked to last weekend had no bites at all as well. Either you fish from a boat or you fish from shore results are the same... It looks like that most of us will have a very quiet fishing season!!! This is not the case when fishing ...

I was at Calabogie for some trout this Friday and I didn't get any bite. It was my worst fishing day ever....gorgeous day though! Visited at least six trout lakes around with no even one hit. I've used worms, trout paste, preserved grasshoopers, salmon eggs....tried different techniques...nope...not...

At this time of the year, no way....stay away from ice.
As I said you won't be waiting much longer, maybe a week or two depends on the weather temperatures.

Hi Folks, Found Shiner and other lakes around solid frozen with 2 inches of ice closer to shore and probably good 10 inches in the middle of the lake. Does anyone know if the ice safe enough on Sh..er and Sc..ly lake? Has anyone recently visited these ones? I don't do much ice fishing however this year I am definitely trying this out.
