Re: Dead deer in water.....will City or RVCA remove it??

I have been going to that spot for 3yrs now and have only ever seen one person there 2yrs ago. But it's all good since it not a super productive spot, I only go because its 2mins from my house. If it were a spot I cared about I would have never mentioned anything. Yeah, but its right across from on...

Re: Dead deer in water.....will City or RVCA remove it??

I think I know where this is, is this on the opposite shore from Mooney's bay? I go fishing there sometimes for early season walleye, what a shame if this carcass is just left to rot away! I agree call 311!! Amazing that you nailed that spot... there's what... a branch and some water in that pictur...

Re: Victoria Island golden nuggets!

Yeah, lots of wildlife. There are quite a few Canada Geese, and Mallard ducks and there goslings/ducklings that hand around the native shelter. They are super brave, and will walk right beside you! The ducks have been accustomed to being fed bread, that they were hanging around the guys in the boats...

I always see a lot of people fishing there, never fished there myself. I was told that you can catch Gar there!

Re: where to fish vic island?

Just follow the road all the way to the end, by the Native center. You can probably fish at other spots, but the crazy current makes it super dangerous and stupid.

Victoria Island golden nuggets!

Yesterday I decided to hit up Victoria Island for some evening fishing! The water was very high, so I could not cast out into the sweet spot. Still caught some fish though, they were all small but feisty! Some guys in boats were parked right where the current meets the pool created by the island. Th...

Season Opener report

I went to the favorite early season walleye spot on Dalhousie Lake last night. Got there around 6pm, the action started slow with three OOS bass. I moved accordingly, and eventually the Walleye began to bite. I landed four Walleye all within the slot range, and missed many other strikes. All in all,...

Any tips on ice fishing without the aid of a flasher.

So I cannot afford a Flasher, but I love to ice fish. Are there any tips on locating fish without the aid of a flasher? Basically just keep moving around?

This is a mini ice update/clayton lake fishing update. We showed up at Clayton lake, and the ice looked wonderful. No water at all, just glare ice.. we could have skated out. As for the ice, I was shocked, I though it was going to be between 6-8 inches. However my measuring tape was reading 10 inche...

Due to a lack of information coming in about ice conditions on silver, I am going to go to Clayton instead. I was in at bits and baits today, and was told that the conditions on Clayton are favorable. However, two guys in my fishing party chickened out so now its only a few of us going now.

I am planning a trip out to Silver Lake on sunday. I am just curious how much ice was there prior to this thaw? Will the ice be safe on sunday?
