Bay of Quinte fun!

I dont have any pictures, but Maple does. We went to the bay to hook into some lunkers. I lost a mother of a walleye, possibly 11lbs!! JimW lost a fish upwards of 10-11lbs also. Maple landed some nice fish, he has some pictures to attest. Jimmy caught a nice eater, that I get to eat! Although I did ...

I say, allocate 1 billion dollars. Than give 10 dollars to anyone who brings a dead asian carp. This species would be overharvested in no time.

Use the meat as fertilizer, or pet food.

Before everyone gets all up in arms... just remember, that perhaps this is just a natural increase in population. Remember when the porcupine population increased, and MNR released fishers to help reduce the population. (fishers are natural predators of porcupine, however, development reduced the na...

To think, we live in a so-called "developed" first world nation. However, whenever a little peice of metal gets into the Sewage system, causing a blockage. The best system we can dream up of, is to divert tonnes of raw sewage into the river for hours at a time... Yup.. we look at countries...

I caught that nice bass on my Zara Spook.. I had a blast with topwater that night. Actually, later on in the evening, I was doing a slow walk-the-dog.. and this big pike, I didnt get a good look at it, but it was pretty decent pike for the Miss. But this pike, leaps out of the water, about half a fo...

Bass are very tasty. They have a very mild taste, similar to Walleye..however, even more mild. I find that Smallmouth is much more tastier than Largemouth. Probably because smallmouth are a more open water species than Largemouth. As for cleaning Bass.. They are very easy, just as easy as Walleye. I...

Where is Bobber?

I sent bobber a detailed email, Including a map of Dalhousie Lake, which included a depth chart. Locations of known good spots. also an index of species in the lake.

That was back in May. Has bobber been around lately? I was hoping to add Dalhousie to the Ontario map project.

Smallmouth or Largemouth, what do you all prefer?

Personally, I prefer Smallmouth. They fight better, taste better, and smallmouth just look better.

Also, I prefer fishing open water, rather than slop, in the case of Largemouth.

What do you all prefer?

Thats to bad.. I went to college in Lindsay, and we would fish in the Scugog riverall the time. The Muskies in the Kawarthas do not get as big as there big water brethren, however, its all about numbers! You can catch decent sized 18-30inch musky as readily as you can catch pike, in natural pike wat...
