Slip Bobber depth adjustment

Does anyone have a home made method of sinking your slip bobber to determine how far the bait is off the bottom. I know you can buy clip on sinkers but its one more thing I'll lose..

Fishing Lake Clear

We are going up to Opeongo Mountain Resort Oct 1 for a couple of days. Open to suggestions for terminal tackle, locations on the lake etc. I've read nothing but good things about the lake but with only 2 days for fishing wasting time is not an option. Appreciate any feedback..... focusing on sm bass...

My scale was a little tired from some carp earlier in the year. I came in a little over 7 on the scale so I'm calling her a 7. She was soft in the belly from spawn out and would probably get close to 8 this fall. For every 100 hatchery type bass you get one like this. What would you eye-ball it at??

Spinner bait situation

This is not the year to doubt your ability. The bite has been sporadic at best. If you are using a good bait casting rig and a decent spinner bait and throwing it in the strike zone you will catch fish. I think when you arent confident with your application you tend to sabotage your own tactic. This...

We have narrowed it down to Lakeside cottages on Lake Katchewanooka. They are advertised well and seem to know their stuff. Anyone know about them?

Carp Fishing Cottage

Never thought I'd be posting this but does anyone know of a cottage camp that caters to carp fishermen. I had the experience in June and it was a riot. I never like to go to the same place twice so if someone could share a location name with me i would greatly appreciate it. I want a camp that cater...

Ground Bait for Carp

Does anyone have a killer recipe for carp baiting. We're going to Chemong lake in a couple of weeks and staying at Birchbend Resort. They cater to the British carp fishermen and I want to try my hand at some UK style carp fishing c/w baiting a swim and fishing with hair rigs. We will be loading up t...

Was there a few years ago in the spring and again in the summer. It can be very hot or it can make you feel like a newbie. We had good luck behind Colonel Island for jumbo perch and small walleye in the weeds.....some guys went on to Fawn lake. There is a shoal straight out and to the right of Tumbl...
