I started wearing these this year and I like them much better than my Wetskins. http://www2.marks.com/productdetails.asp?categoryID=211&start=1&href=%2Fctwnew%2Fmarkprod%2Ensf%2FProductListByID%2FC8EF1CC00032701D80257577000DCB6D%3FOpenDocument http://www2.marks.com/productImages/product_2841...

Last weekend the sky was partly cloudy and it was windy, but we were able to catch a few from 12 to 15 ft of water off of points and shoals. The lake we were in had a surface temperatures of about 58 degrees.

I am probably wrong since this is way outside my area of knowledge, but I suspect it has to do with there being many more smaller fish than larger fish. That and by removing smaller fish it leaves more food for the larger fish to get even larger. Reduce the competition so to speak.

If it has an SD card in it, does it have the same problem with the SD card removed? If so, try reformatting the card and reinstalling your maps.

You could also try upgrading the firmware, but be careful as this has been known to kill a wonky unit.

We have splake in my cottage lake with crappie, bass (LM and SM), pike and almost no perch to speak of. The main bait species are mud minnows and ciscos. I caught a 4lb splake two weekends ago in about 6' of water fishing for crappie swimming a small shiner coloured buck-shot spoon with a 2" pi...

Let's say you have a trolling motor that averages 25A when running and it lasts for a total of 5 hours if run steady on one 12V deep cycle battery. That means your battery is good for 125 Amp-hours. If you put 1A back in with the solar charger over the same 5 hours, with perfect sun conditions, you ...

Watch out and make sure they have a charge controller in them. A charge controller will prevent the solar panel from over charging and killing your battery.

The best way for me to show you some good locations to crappie fish will be to have you join me in my boat for an afternoon of fishing.

Drop me a PM in a couple three weeks and we will get out and have a look around at my favourite spots.

I also forgot to mention the HDS units HD broadband sounders produce an analog equivalent 30,000 Watts Peak-to-Peak / 3750 Watts RMS. -sheldon There is something wrong with those numbers. RMS is 70.7% of 1/2 of peak-to-peak. In other words, 30,000 W pk-pk should give 10,605 W RMS or 3750 W ...

I was up there last weekend and the canal is open at Chaffey's lock so the public boat launch is out (unless you have an Argo or hovercraft). :) You could try asking Wayne at Wilson's Marina on Marina road east of Chaffey's Lock. Be careful though as there is current through the isthmus from Clear L...
