Re: Congrats to Charles Sim!

Thanks everyone! I truly appreciate the support. I'm planning a week of pre-practice before the River goes off limits, along with the two official days of practice. We'll be fish cypress swamps on the Ouchita River in Monroe Louisiana, a stones through from the Duck Dynasty boys. I'm excited, nervou...

Thanks.

Thanks Guys! The whole season was a great experience, and an incredibly tough one. It was awesome having the moral support that I did though the many message board posts and emails throughout the season. I was happy to have a good finish in the last event, although a little bittersweet looking at wh...

Geos, It always has been for everyone. Marc, "I have to admit,I am confused about your position, your against OOS fishing but not against having the season opened prematurely to regs established by the QMNR. " Not sure what you're confused about, There are two different issues there... I su...

... got a few calls and emails letting me know that my values are being questioned here... I'm not sure that they are, but I'll throw some personal facts out there anyway. - I oppose targeting fish that are out of season...that is one of the reasons I travel to places where fish are in season. - I h...

Nice Fish!

I'll be in Holguin in a couple weeks... I usually just play with the little fishes around the reefs, but I may have to get out on one of those dorado trips!

Marc, You're right, I do have family in MTL, I hope they'll be attending the event, and perhaps even volunteering. But your assumption is wrong, I have all my motels booked already, as I have for the last 3 events on Lac St. Louis. The economic impact may be minimal in the big picture, but it won't ...

Thought I'd add my comments to this thread...word travels fast around the interent... Obviously being a competitor in the event, I may be a little biased, but I'm also very conscious of fishing regulations, and abiding by them. As mentioned, I believe the two catalysts in this situation were the eve...

Quinn

Actually Scott, Bobby is right on, Bass does fall under the "Other species" for the exception for Lake Quinn. If you look at the other exceptions when the exception relates to the zone, they say "Same as Zone". There used to be a couple lakes with the same early season, Lac des I...

For those who don't know, this event was put on my the Canadian Professional Anglers Association as a fund Raiser for Jim, as well as an event of appreciation for our Military. The event raised $7900 for Jim, and got over 30 CFB Kingst...

Just a quick FYI - Check your regs, Bass no longer opens early on Lac des Iles.

You should be good out on Lac du Cerf, just down the road.

Hot Maps '07

Hey guys, The hotmaps chips are a little off on some lakes. It often depends on the base chart used. For Navigational purposes, you should look to the gold and Platinum series of charts. The Hotmaps were developed as a fishing chart. I'll be working with navionics, sending them updated GPS points to...
