Big Rideau lake trout report?

Hi folks - Any reports for late summer lakers on this lake? - I used to have decent success up and down the channel near Murphy's point. Have not been up here for close to 10 years (not to mention been just as long on this site which has turned in an amazing machine! - good work). Camping for a week...

Lakers are still active. Down Rig the main channel deep....100 to 120 feet was where I was ctaching them. Gang Troll with minnows or Gold and Silver whitefish Williams with a 2 foot snell and minnow was working as well. Early morning you can find them at 70-90 feet. I trolled at 140 feet and caught ...

Bulldog,

The water was higher than normal for this time of year....based on previous trips anyway. I noticed the water level started to drop when I was leaving. There was a fair amount of lumber floating around the south part of the lake Sunday morning. You should be fine!

Hey Zorty....if it is your first time to the lake, let me know and I can refer you to a few sites. Some are more boat friendly than others.

Fishing was tough this last weekend, water was close to 2 feet higher than normal.

Just got back from a weekend there. You will need a permit. $20 gets you 1 night camping, and parking for your vehicle. Permits can be picked up at the Golf Course club house at Tumble Home lodge.
