Yeah the walleye bite is definitely early and very late there. The guide that wasnt available for you would have been Ryan. Too bad you didnt get to go out with him. He is a riot to fish with and very knowledgable. Did you have a chance to try any of the back lakes? Did you try over by the waterfall...

Also, as an after thought, Leonards is a great place to get walleye fry up to 8" or more for stocking your lake!!

You can always get bait at Leonards Bait which is just to the south of Verona on 38. If you are coming up north from 401 you will pass it on the right.
