Good job Sheldon in Mattagami. We caught alot of fish also. But I had a hard time finding small fish. Saturday morning in the first hour we nailed a 5.5lbs and a 4.75lbs walleye and then for the rest of the day have fun finding small fish. We caught two more walleyes that day over four pounds. After...

yo

With a busy summer of targetting walleyes I have picked up a few usefull tricks for the lunkers. Sheldon is correct about the bigger minnows. If you want to catch a zillion walleyes you can use leeches but if ya want the lunkers big minnows and just drag it along shallow shoals (4' to 12') with deep...

hi

I like spinner rigs with creek shiners and very slow presentation. Most of my fish at last weeks tourney where caught on spinner rigging but the diffrence was we where just about standing still. Like Sheldon says very slow. Sometimes we would just stay standing still and dropping our spinners to the...

hello

All the tips that you guys gave are great. There is one more thing you need to do. You need to give them light if you don't want them to turn white on you.

Another wonderful Walleye weekend

When I found out that it was going to be nice this weekend I made an executive decision and decided to go fishing for the weekend alone. My brother in law wanted to tag along with his neighboor in his boat and they could do a little hunting also. I love nothing better than fishing alone. That way ev...

Well that pike was far from snot rocket it was 6 pounds. I didn't it eat it yet my nephew took it home. I would imagine he will deep fry it. I always fry fish in homemade batter that I make.

The time of the year comes again when the walleye are feeding heavy. So what better time to plan a weekend trip. I convince my brother in law and nephew(which wasn't difficult) to come with me in there boat and I would take my father in law on my boat. I took Friday off so we where able to get on th...
