I have an 2006 115 4 stroke Merc and have 0 issues with it. This is how I understand the Merc and Yam situation. Yam supplied the 4 stroke technology to Merc until 2006 and Merc put on their lower ends on them. In 2007 Merc was up to speed and started building their own 4 strokes. I bought my boat i...

Some interesting comments here. It's pretty simple in my opinion, if its there unlocked it's up for grabs. Try and prove it's your boat / canoe? Let's be realisitc with this one if you're leaving it there it's partly because you're o.k. if it gets stolen or damaged or used. It's the chance you take ...

If it's not locked... First Come First Serve policy applies. I've seen a few out there but never needed to use them. I've never seen another group on the lakes at the same time as me so I doubt you'll have an issue but if you do that becomes a judgement call. Some of those lakes would be a long walk...

I'm pretty sure that area is gated. I doubt they open it up for liability reasons but if they do it would be a great spot. If not try any other bank in that area.

Depending on the date, I'd join in. My girls always want to join me and this would be a great way to get them fishing early this year.

I wasn't expecting you to take it any other way.

At least you got out there this winter which is more than what I can say for me!

And considering your winter season, there's no need to add a BOQ eye. More fun to meet new guys anyways.

Well I should be hitting lake O for some browns in March. Gonna try my luck on the Niagara come Easter Weekend with some buddies. Then onto some local lakes for crappies before walleye and pike and trout opener. Hoping to get an early start as I seem to get too busy in summer with the family to fish...

You might..... except for the fact that you've..... nev..... er....

Really just joking...... you're right, not much fight to them at all for the most part. On the lighter sticks they are more fun.

This is going to be an interesting debate 24/7. I've been fishing for them for a long time on the QC side. Although I've found them more along the 20 - 30 foot mark, I've never had one blow up their gut coming up and they've all swam away. I'm no biologist but not sure how this can impact the fisher...

Canmore... I really hope you're kidding when you say that global warming is not really happening? How many reports did the Bush Administration change? How many people have lost their jobs for trying to say the truth about global warming? The norther glaciers aren't melting either... The list goes on...

You think you can get to it with the recent rain?

I live in Embrun by the Castor river where the 2 huts are by the bridge and the ice close to shore all broke off. Be careful if you do venture out there.
