I went by and picked up a couple killer eels, a grandma and a jake. At a reasonable price.

Putting in that much time is a lot with no fish landed. Oh you must have been musky fishing. We went out Saturday morning, also fishless. Had two come right to the back of the boat, but no bites. :?

I was there last Friday, they have a lot more tackle now then I have ever seen there before. Plastics, wood and soft plastics and some spinners, a great selection. Like a kid in a candy store, I wanted one of each.

The muskie swam off after a while of holding it in the water. It was not moving a lot for about two minutes, then it started to move and stay upright more. When I released it, it wanted to go. Its always nice to see a big fish leave with a lot of strength http://www.fish-hawk.net/modules/mx_smartor/...

Thanks everyone. I caught it trolling a tandem bucher in about eight-ten feet of water. It took few minutes to get it into the boat for some quick shots then about five minutes holding in the water to get its strength back. Had two other hits also, what an exciting day.

Good to hear you landed some fish. We went out on Friday evening, one musky follow and one large pike.

Good write up of your trip. We have had a few Bob's on our fishing trips too. That road from St.Michel to Parent can get quite washboarded after a good rain or two. Good to hear you made it up and back.

I biggest one for me was a muskie that torpedoed the boat. What I mean, the muskie was comming towarwds the boat then all of a sudden it dove down and under the boat. I know now what to do if that happens but at the time I was too in shock at the size of the fish. It must have been in the 50's. I'm ...

Another New user to the site

Hello all, first off great site and a lot of good info. About me, started fishing as a kid on the Rideau at Long Island Locks. (those fish were big then.) Then cottages, mostly bass and pike. Years go by, then cottages and once a year trips up north, Gouin, Tamagami, Senneterre for walleye and pike....

Nice muskie,

I also make it a point to actively promote C.P.R. (Catch, Photo, Release).
