Yah, I'd never caught a smallie in white lake before this year.
This year I've caught quite a few... and in the strangest of places... Caught most of them fishing for largemouth - right on shore.
That one, I caught just outside of eggshape bay, in about 20 ft of water.

White Lake - Aug.31st to Sept.5th

Got up 3AM Thursday morning to pack the car and take my parents to the airport. Dropped them off around 5AM, and we were back on the road… By 6:30 we were almost to Havelock, and I was getting a bit hungry, so we stopped for breakfast at the Normdale Skittle or whatever it was called. Our next sto...

Great report!! I feel your wife's pain... I had the pleasure of getting a hook stuck in my thumb last year... It wasn't stuck in the carpet (how embarrassing is that!) but it was still attached to a fish. Thankfully my old man was with me to take the fish off. We of course go straight back to the tr...

...it looks to me that this is aimed at children..........what the @#$%!!!!! My thoughts exactly... !!! I'm all for animal's rights... ie. I beleive animals should not be killed needlessly for fun/sport/fashion. If it's for food, or if it's a matter of survival, that's a different story ...but that...

Caesar's Lodge

A few of the boys and I would like to plan a trip there next year, and I was wondering if anyone has been there before and/or is familiar with any of the lakes?

There's like 10 different lakes/cabins to choose from, and I was wondering anyone has any opinions/preferences on any of the lakes?

Anyone been there, or know anything about it.

Looking to find out what days they're open, and their hours... anyone know?

Too bad... I was camping at White Lake all last week. Had I gotten this sooner, I would have gladly filled that seat. :(
Never been Musky fishing before, but am dying to give it a go.

Re: sloppy frogs

Sometimes a bluegill will whiz past your ear. LOL!! So true... For me, nothing beats a frog on a weedless hook, and a couple split shots a foot and a half up. Throw it out, let it sit, watch your line. Trick is to let 'em take it... Wait until you can feel the weight of the fish, then give it a few...

I just wanted to point out that they don't back up their claim with anything other than saying that this person has spent thousands of hours diving...What does that prove?
I've spent thousands of hours outside… does that make me a meteorologist?

I'm sorry, but this time they've gone too far...

That's what I'm using, and I absolutely love it! Worth the investment in my opinion. However, it's the only braided line I've tried so far.
I hear Spiderwire Stealth, and PowerPro are pretty similar and a bit cheaper too.

I actually just spooled up some vanish this weekend, and wasn't impressed at all. I actually wanted to try out the Spiderwire Stealth, but they didn't have any, so I went with the vanish. I'm going to take it off, and put on some Stealth... what a waste! I decided to try braided line this year, and ...
