I was out there last weekend. Caught a few decent sized bass in the slop. Had a simliar sized muskie charge out from some pads right beside the boat, hitting a 7" Texas rigged worm. Very cool to see.

I was fishing the same area Sat evening. Caught around 6 largemouth in the 1-3lb range. It was a bit slow, caught 15 one day there earlier in the week. I usually fish the small clumps of lily pads near the shorline using purple or brown Texas rigged worms or black Senkos. Sounds like you were fising...

Lake Scugog is your best bet. You can reach Port Perry in less than half an hour from where you are staying. There is a public lauch in downtown Port Perry. If you head north from the launch you should fish the western shoreline. There is a small inlet named Cawkers Cove on the map. From there north...

I was using the YUM 7.5" worm. They are suposed to be scented and salted. Do you guys find the Berkly power stuff to be way better than the YUM brand? I always shyed away from Berkly because of price.

Lite biting bass

Went fishing for bass moday afternoon. Decided to pound the bullrushes along the shoreline using a purple or brownish Texas rigged worm. Whenever I found small patches of grass growing next to shore found some bass siting in there. Problem was they would hit the worm and drop it right away. Had some...

Don't let the small size of that spinnerbait fool you. It catches big fish. Drives largemouth crazy! On lake Scugog I've caught everything from perch to muskie with it. Good luck

Yeah, it was pretty crazy out there. That was the best day I've ever had there. Last years best was about 30 bass in one day. Went out this morning, things seem to have slowed down. Maybe all the fishing pressure, there was a turnament today I think. Only caught about 10 bass today. Here are some pi...

Opening day on Lake Scugog

Hit the lake at 5AM this morning. First fish was a nice muskie caught on a white spinnerbait. Next was a small walleye and a bunch of rockbass. Moved to across the lake and started fishing large weed flats. Lots of action. Stopped counting after 30 Largemouth. Probally landed close to 50 fish by 1pm...

Solar bat sunglasses

Has anybody tried the new Solar Bat (Mossback green color) fishing sunglasses? Are they worth the money or will a cheap pair of Bass Pro shops polarized glasses do?

Lake Scugog walleye

Hello everyone.

Has anybody been catching any walleye on Scugog this spring. I can't seem to find any. I usually fish the Port Perry side of the lake. Any tips would be appriciated. Thanks
