Went out there yesterday. Thanks for the info, B. I did'nt get into any browns, just small bronzebacks that took the dropper. (I know they are OOS, I was just getting them by accident.) There is an island in the flow which I'm told harbors some nice ones on the downstream side. I can't get to them w...

damn!
Nice one! Sounds like a perfect evening.
Too bad I work nights. It can be a nuisance at times.

what is float + fly?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but float + fly is a casting bubble or small float, trailing a fly, but chucked by spinning gear, right? canoe

All in all, it was tough going. The back roads have been trashed by rain and churned up by ATV's - they are impos...

calabogie area
Hi All,'
I'm thinking about fishing the small brookie lakes, like the Green, in the Calabogie area this Monday. What's the best way to do it? Can I wade? Should I rent a canoe? How about float tubes?
Thanks.

visiting area
Hi All, I'm here in Ottawa working for 6 weeks. I'm basically boatless, so I'm looking for spots where I can wade or cast from shore, for trout, pike, musky, bass, anything but carp. I have both fly and spinning gear. Any info would be appreciated. I'm also up for fishing with anyone who's intereste...
