M.T. You are the jokester, aren't you? I got some new strings, but now the guitar playing sucks with gloves on. Hi everyone! Sorry this crazy monkey hasn't been around much lately. Since I haven't been fishing, I really haven't had much intelligent to add to the board! No comments... I have ...

Could be esocid lymphosarcoma. It affects the esox genus (lucius - pike, masquinongy - muskie, niger - chain pickerel). http://www.state.me.us/ifw/fishing/fishlab/vol4issue12.htm Or, it could be any number of water-borne virus or bacteria. Nasty looking stuff though, huh? Especially when it hemmorha...

I find all white flesh fish taste the same, especially when cooked in the same manner. The only fish I can taste difference between are with different types of flesh. Pinks (trout, salmon, etc), whites (walleye, perch, bass, etc) and coarse flesh (cats, shark, etc.) all taste somewhat different. Kin...

I thought of the bear situation and thought that we (I) should be as prepared as possible. After some serious pondering, I decided on the best course of action: I bought some honey scented Bacon Wipes for all of my camping friends. I need as much of a head start as I can get. And my c...

Wet the hand that you're going to handle the fish with. Remember, the slime on the fish is what stands between it and disease, so leave it on the fish! Slide your (wet) hand gently from the head of the fish, (thumb near the belly, pinky on the "forehead"), down the fish, holding the dorsal...

There's no need for knee-jerk reactions, but if you don't think that lobby groups are responsible for the studies and the proposed ban, you're sadly mistaken. All opinions are biased. The science is funded and the results presented not in quantitative data format, but in manipulated and carefully wo...

I notice that every holiday I work is a twelve hour shift, but my paysheet only pays me time and a half for 7.5 hours. The other four hours ar...

I could write a 30 page dissertation on how to throw a perfect spiral pass, what type of cleats to wear on light frost turf and the theory of facing a 4-3 defence. It won't make you a great quarterback. Knowledge is not ability and is to be shared, IMHO. A lot of coaches would be out of work ...
