Re: Got a question? Let's hear it!
Here is the question of the week (for me at least). I think I am pretty good at figuring things out. The one situation that has always stumped me is suspended fish. E.G. You can see them suspended at about 20 feet in 40 plus feet of water. While I have crankbaits that can go down deep, it's when the...

Re: Fish Ingesting Soft Plastics
After reading all the articles Smitty55 posted, (a lot of log-rolling in there) the take away for me is that this problem is really a trout anglers issue. Seems to me it trout that are affected by this. But seriously of the 12 articles, only 3 actually were of scientific studies (papers published). ...

Re: boat is porposing
Brian, I know a fella that has a jackplate for sale, 150$, would solve your issue. All you'd need to make sure is your transom is solid and you've got enough length in your throttle cable that you can move the outboard 6" back. With a Jackplate you'll be able to move it up and down wherever yo...

Re: boat is porposing
Porpoising is caused by the prop losing his grip, failing to keep the bow higher. First start with playing with the engine height. How's your AV plate in relation to the bottom of the keel (both being measured level)? A good starting point is to have the AV plate 1.5 inch higher than the bottom of t...

Re: More Thievery in Arnprior
Man oh Man does this burn my arse. Is there even a solution? Several incidents reported to police over 2-3 years, still an issue. Yes there is. Stop fishing there. Let all the Mayor know know that you won't be fishing in Arnprior, and won't be spending any money there, and if any one asks about Cla...

Who knew that a yeast infection crème would also help with sticky skirts?
What next Prep H to reduce line twist?

Re: Nice Carp and one stupid musky!!!
Great story. One time we launched at echolands went all the way upriver to the "falls" looking for bass. What we found was a school of suckers - Big ones being herded by a very long musky. She kept circling the school keeping them in a certain spot. we thtew the kitchen sink at this musky ...

Re: Quick question - Pike
I have been crappie fishing and caught many pike on 4lb braid no leader. never got bitten off. When I do fish for pike on heavier tackle, I use a heavier flouro leader (25lbs) Most of the time the pike do not inhale the bait completely
