Re: Constant beep alarm on throttle

I had a similar situation on an 06 Optimax. Mine was a throttle sensor that was faulty. Sensor thinks you are in neutral and freaks out that you are revving it at 4700 rpm in neutral. I won't get into the different marinas around town that charged Merc a ton of money under warranty to not fix that ...

Re: Mississippi river Almonte

I love big largies! What do you normally catch them on? I normally throw topwater or a chrome big-o. Yesterday I tried spinnerbaits and rubber worms. Definitely gonna spend time around that power line next time. Take your best most expensive frog. Throw it at the weeds....watch it get destroyed by ...

Re: Holding Pens

A limit means you can not exceed the total catch limit of a species in a specific fishing zone. For example: I fish Zone 25 ( Ottawa River) -I catch my limit of 5 Walleye and keep my limit of 5 to bring home. -The same night I filet and eat 2 walleye, leaving 3 remaining in the freezer. -The next d...

Re: Holding Pens

I cant see any difference between a pen and a livewell. I would think a CO seeing more than a daily limit in a pen wouldn't lay a charge. The correct term would be possession not daily. Whether it is a livewell, "pen", fridge/freezer: it's what you have in your possession that counts towa...

Re: Holding Pens

they still would not be able to have over their daily passion limit correct? Just to be clear about daily catch limits and possession limits: (taken from the inistries website) Catch limit The number of fish you can catch and keep in a day. It includes: •fish you don’t release right away •fish you ...

Re: Fluorocarbon leaders for bass

I use fluro leads on any slack line presentation ie. Senkos, light tubes etc. I'm not 100% sold it matters but in my mind if one fish swims away from it due to line then it's too many and for piece of mind I tie them on. RJ How would you know? I could throw it back to you and ask how do you know th...

Re: Fluorocarbon leaders for bass

the only reason I use a flouro leader to braid is for shock absorption. I do not prescribe to the notion that fish are line shy. I think they do sense the line as it gives out vibrations and if you are using a very think line for finesse presentation it the fish will "shy" away from it.

Re: Ipilot to foot pedal

I found this on Walleye central: I installed a switch in my Powerdrive so that I could use either. It's a simple procedure, but you have to unplug one, then plug in the other. You can't have them both working at the same time. The switch will only work on a non auto pilot V2. Here's a link for switc...

Re: Things that make you go HMMMM?

Norm, I understand what you mean and where you are coming from. Only advice I can give you is run into their offices and maybe buy a 1 year pass from a person? They did away with the machines at Taylor park last year. I haven't actually used the launch since. I just don't find it functional at all....

Re: I've met Luke

Luke Clausen!!! If you had asked me last year, if I'd be downing a few beers with Luke Clausen, I would have said never in a million years. It is one of many perks since I've joined ranks with Megabass, to which I am very thankful. When you think you know stuff in regards to fishing, you then meet ...
