That is a nice gesture. I was fishing Crappy Bay on Saturday and the parking lot was pretty snowy...I can only imagine what it is like today!
Managed a couple nice slabs and quite a few smaller ones and blue gills. Bite was really, reallly light.

Mostly I use a small jig (pink works well for me) tipped with a small fake grub - try with a 'tail' and without. Water depth can vary from between 5-15 feet, depends on where they are that day (try around in different locations). I find them most active in the latter part of the day. I fish them nea...

soon
Soon I hope! However, patience is a virtue. A nervous day on the ice defies what fishing is all about - relaxation and enjoyment of the outdoors. Look at it this way - this year looks a lot better than last year, and that much we can be thankful for! Getting out before new years is my goal. When exa...

Long Sault Perch?
Anyone have any idea whether the perch are still hanging around the Long Sault area? I'm hoping to get out there for the first time to do some shore fishing. Does one requrie a boat? Any indication of where exactly folks fish for perch in the area? Weather is looking better and better for first ice!...

nippissing
I just booked a 6 man hut on nippissing. Get on it quick as they book up quick! Lots of outfitters to be found on Google. Its about $125-$160/person for the weekend (friday at noon till Sunday at noon). All you need is food and booze (probably more of the latter, haha). Trust me, you'll do it year a...

Dog
My neighbour had just brought her new puppy to the cottage for the first time. The new puppy took a loving for a crank bait and got it lodged in his cheek. The neighbour was trying to take it out gently when the dog flinched and the other end of the crack got stuck through her nostril. She waited pa...

thanks
thanks for the link Joco. I'm just wonding if there is somewhere within 4 hours that may be as good if not better than nippissing. I guess so much of it depends on the day. Some of the guys are wanting to go for trout. Didn't I see a post from you on an ice fishing trip with trout last winter? Thank...

Nippissing Ice fishing
Good morning all, I know I’m totally jumping the gun here, but what are people’s experience renting ice fishing huts/bungalows on Nippissing? I have 5 people + myself looking to rent a 6 man hut. The idea of fishing from bed is just too appealing an opportunity to pass up! We are thinking earlie...
