Everyone is open to their opinion. Sometimes there is strength where we differ and promise where we overlap. People are passionate about their sport and resource. Sometimes when we see things we disagree with our blood begins to boil and we react negatively. Arguably this is not always the best cour...

December walleye??
Good afternoon all, So, december walleye fishing....with all this talk of BOQ fishing I was wondering what people experiences have been fishing walleye on the Ottawa river late in the season. Is the late, late fall bite unique to BOQ or would a similar experience be expected on the Ottawa. I am up a...

Pike
Surprisingly, mine is pike from cold winter water. When filleted properly to remove all bones, the meat is quite delicious.

Otter Lake/Green Lake
Hey FH'ers,
I am getting more and more excited for ice-fishing as the days go by!
I have looked into Otter Lake and heard it holds trout. Anyone ever fished it before? Also, a lake by the name of Green Lake, near Almonte/Poland, Ontario.
Best of luck to all and bring on the hard water!

thanks fellas for the info. being from ontario I was thinking east, when clearly Grand Falls is located at the western side of the province. I will buy a licence when I get into town and see what information I can't dig up. If nothing else I will have to return when the trout are running, or I can g...

New Brunswick Fishing
Good day all FH'ers, I am off to NB to visit my girlfriends folks for Thanksgiving. I am looking to do a bit of fishing during my stay. They live in the town of Grand Falls (eastern part of the province). I looked at the regs and trout and salmon are closed for the year but many other species are st...

Walleye
Just a general question regarding walleye this time of year. As the weather cools at night, do the patterns (i.e., location, feeding preferences) of walleye change? I fish the Ottawa river on Alllumette Island (this is where my cottage is located) and have yet to get out for eyes since the cooler we...

Johnson Prop Price
Good afternoon all, I was wondering if anyone knew a ballpark price for a new Johnson 15 hp prop (just the actual prop, all other pieces are fine). The motor is a 2005. I require a back-up as I am bound to hit a rock pile sooner than later. I looked on the net, but didn't come across what I was look...

Thanks for the info guys. I will be sure to look into the proper regs and being the proper rod (fly vs. non-fly). I am quite excited to get into some trout.
Again, I'll do my darndest to post some pictures of my adventures.

Spec fishing in Newfoundland
Good morning all, I hope everyone is enjoying the heat wave, wow. Anyway, I have a question....I am going to be in Newfoundland for an eight day vacation in a couple weeks. I was wondering if anyone has fished any inland streams for specks in Nfld, or if you have fished throughout the province at al...

Crappie Fishing
Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone has been out crappie fishing this year. I have yet to target them specifically but figured this is a decent time of year (or getting close anyway) to do so.
Anywhere to fish them near Ottawa (without the us of a boat)?
Cheers, I apprecate your help.
