Re: Best pike lures?
Try a dead minnow under a bobber. Never know who will take it, but have caught a lot of cats and a few very large pike this way. Minnow on a bare hook, wait for the bobber to get pulled under and then count to 5!

Re: Shirley's Bay report
Yes, I have a cell phone, flips open, just like the communicators on Star Trek. But it only makes calls, this is no smart phone. But from now on, a dedicated camera for the boat! ![Geek :geek:](./images/smilies/icon/geek.gif)

Shirley's Bay report
Was fishing for Cat's yesterday with my son-in-law on Shirley's Bay. Using dead minnows and the Cat's were really biting. 3 & 4 pound range, so good size. But the surprise of the day was a 33" Pike. Wouldn't you know it but this was the first time in years with no camera on boat. ... and I ...

Re: Thoughts on Legend XCaliber18
On the Ottawa a lot, as well as Rideau river, White Lake, Rideau and Calabogie Lakes. Even had it on Bay of Quinte.
So, pretty well any water around here, and yes, we use it a lot.

Re: Thoughts on Legend XCaliber18
Have had a Legend 188 AllSport for the last 13 years. Still looks like new and the 90 hp Merc runs like a charm. This has been a great family boat for fun as well as excellent for fishing. My bro has a Smoker Craft 18 foot, is exactly same as my Legend, except for his 115 Merc. The 90 hp is fine but...

Re: Costco 13'4" Equinox fishing Kayak
I found that on line as well, but I can't find anything from anyone about their actual feel, functionabliity, stability, strength etc. Does anyone have one of these? How do you like it?

The second day, we figured out this lake and with the 3 of us fishing, caught over 30 Small Mouth, most about 2 pounds. It was one of those day's where we couldn't do anything wro...

Going up to Lac Blue Sea in Quebec, north of Ottawa next week. Never been there before. Anyone know anything about this lake, as to fish, anything? Would really be appreciated.
Thanks
