The river is fairly shallow upstream in some spots for sure, although I do alright in my 14' tinny. You just have to pay attention. I've never been downriver from Mal's, so I can't comment about that stretch. If you do decide to head to the lake, you can launch at the end of Conc. 9A, off #7. Jay

Launched from there Saturday morning and it was ok. Gravel pretty much down to the water. I don't know what it was like before though.

Was a busy launch site on Saturday actually, lots of vehicles.

We get mosquitoes badly as well. 2 years ago we bought ones of those screened gazebos, and it kicks butt. It's a 10' x 12' and takes up about half the deck.

Looking good so far....what kind of shape is the transom in?

Are you planning on re-foaming the floor?

G.
G. You need to find a site to host your pics first, like photobucket. Once you create an account and upload your pics there, you can copy the link and paste it in your thread here.

Hope that helps.

I am doing a similar project on a boat I got last fall. Now that the weather is nice, I've got the floor & stringers pulled out so far. Next the motor comes off and the cap of the boat to be raised so I can replace the transom. I am interested to see how your project comes along. Here's a great ...

Restoring an older boat

Anyone have any tips on restoration. I'm "fixing up" an older Princecraft, I have no idea what year. It's a 15' fibreglass with a 50 HP Merc outboard. The motor has it's own problems :( , I've been told it needs a switchbox. The motor is mid 80's. The boat doesn't leak, I don't think, ther...

I was successful in 64A, but have heard of a lot of guys not getting their antlerless, when the draws were usually 100% successful. The MNR is definitely cutting back. Our unit is down to a quarter additional tags available this year compared to 2 years ago. I was not lucky enough to get through the...

Man I remember parking down there in the park at the bottom of bay hill with my dad when I was a kid. We'd cross the rapids and fish at the base of them, where they pour ino the river. I use to be scared $h1tless to cross those rapids!!! I think a few times I was on a rope. We caught fish alri...
