Boat launch on White Lake near Calabogie

I was wondering if anyone knew what condition the boat launch at the west end of White Lake was in. It is located off hwy 511 near Calabogie. There used to be a wire mesh over the sand that was prone to get tangled up in the boat trailer. Up till what size boat is it ok to launch. Your help would be...

Stocking Stuffer

Was in Canadian Tire in Orleans today and noticed that the Speedy Sharpeners are on sale for $11.99. The regular price is $17.99. They are not going to be sold by Canadian Tire when supply runs out. The are being replaced by a different brand being made for them. These are a great little sharpener. ...

Salt Water Lures

Does anyone use salt water lures for Lakers, Large Walleye, Muskies ? When in Florida I've noticed a lot of larger rapala style lures as well as yozuri style, reef runner style. There are a lot of different colors as well as finishes that are different than the fresh water style we see up here. I wa...

777BassMan Did you try ordering it from Cabela"s ? I ordered one and received it within 2 weeks this spring. It is great for refilling small tanks for camping stoves and lanterns. It passed through customs without any problem for me. I tried to find one in Canada but couldn't locate a store tha...

Thanks guys. Wasn't sure if the distilled water sold in grocery stores was good enough. Someone told me that the distilled water you need for batteries was different. Now I know.

Stupid Question ?

This is probably a stupid question, but where do you get distilled water to top up your batteries. I know it is not recommended to use tapwater, but am not sure where to get distilled water.

Beautiful day of boating on the Bay of Quinte.

Headed up up to the BoQ Friday morning for a weekend of fishing. We hit the Bay Friday right after lunch. We were marking some baitfish and larger fish between Sherman's point and Thompson's point but could not get any takers. Fished all day Saturday in the same area. We were marking lots of fish, b...

1lastcast: I have an older 20hp merc (1978) There is a rubber bushing inside the prop that wears out and starts slipping. I have to chang it 3 times in the last 8 years. Sometimes when you have work done on the prop, they heat it up. Not long after the rubbers slutch lets go. They usually test iy by...

Congrats on the walleye. Fishing in that wind on Saturday was quite a challenge. I'm sure towing your friends boat back was quite a chore. Glad to hear you had a successful weekend. Good luck on upcoming weekend.
